On 7th March 2025, Director of Centre for Quality Assurance (CQA), Dr Sim Siew Ling has conducted Curriculum Review Workshop for School of Foundation Studies (SFS). This workshop was organized by SFS and all lecturers from both programme, Foundation in Arts and Foundation in Science had attended including their Head of Programmes, and Dean of SFS, Mr. Muhammad Afif bin Abdul Rani.

This Curriculum Review Workshop briefly explain about the course and programme monitoring, type of changes that require notification to MQA and how to calculate major changes in curriculum review. The main reference for this workshop is Surat Makluman MQA Bil.4/2018 (Perubahan Maklumat Program), which specifies that changes in curriculum content exceeding 30%, involving omissions, additions, or replacements, are considered major changes.

All curriculum review must follow SOP of Curriculum Review (UTS/CQA/P03) and the proposal, Curriculum Change (UTS-CQA-P03-CC) must be filled and approved by UAC/UPC and Senate before the changes can be implemented. The SOP and Form are available in CQA’s Website. We hope that our involvement in the workshop provide new inputs to all lecturers in SFS.
